Benefits

Modere M3 is a three month weight loss system. It combines shakes and supplements in conjunction with lifestyle changes to help you trim down and feel healthier.

The system provides followers with guidelines for healthy diet and exercise, as well as  three supplements to get the best out of the plan.

The first is called ‘burn’ and is a thermogenic supplement to help weight loss and energy. Second  is ‘sustain’ a meal replacement sachet that is ready to use. Lastly there is ‘sync’, a digestive support supplement you drink before evening meals.

By following the plan Modere M3 promises the following benefits:

Fat Burning

When trying to lose weight it is important to differentiate between good weight loss and bad weight loss.

If you step on the scale and see a lower number than before, it doesn’t always mean you have lost fat.

When you are restricting calories and exercising, sometimes muscle loss occurs. This is a bad thing because it means you are losing lean mass and lowering your overall metabolic rate. (1)

The ingredients used in Modere M3 help to encourage the use of body fat for fuel, protect lean muscle and boost metabolism. Thus helping you to build the lean physique you desire.

Digestive Health

Keeping our digestive system healthy is imperative for overall health and wellbeing as well as maintaining a healthy weight.

We all have bacteria in our gut which carries out a wealth of important roles to keep us functioning. This ‘good’ bacteria is partially responsible for supporting immunity, as well as energy levels and metabolism. (2)

Modere M3 uses ingredients to keep digestive bacteria healthy and balanced.

Hunger Management

One of the biggest challenges for weight loss is controlling calorie consumption.

Ignoring growling noises from your stomach isn’t easy for anyone. It can be the number one reason for breaking your diet and eating something you shouldn’t.

Modere M3 helps you to keep hunger under control for hours.

It includes ingredients that slow down digestion and control the release of hunger hormones. This makes you feel satisfied for longer.

Healthier Lifestyle

Modere M3 directs its users to adopt a healthy lifestyle for three months while using their products.

Users are told to avoid refined flour, sugary drinks, white rice and sugar, fried foods, drink lots of water and walk a minimum of 7500 steps a day.

Furthermore, many of the ingredients in Modere M3 contribute to heart health by lowering cholesterol and blood pressure.

Ingredients

Below are some of the most active ingredients found in Modere M3:

Green Coffee

Green coffee contains high amounts of antioxidants and health boosting compounds called polyphenols.

Polyphenols are micronutrients with protective health qualities. (3)

Green coffee is rich in a particularly beneficial polyphenol called ‘chlorogenic acid’.

Chlorogenic acid content is higher in green coffee, because they are basically raw beans. The process of roasting removes many of the healthy compounds originally present.

Chlorogenic acid supports weight loss by encouraging the body to use its fat stores for energy. (4)

Green Tea

Green tea is probably one of the most popular health teas available today.

It is packed full of antioxidants that support heart health and protect against cellular damage and diabetes. (5)

Green tea can encourage weight loss by boosting metabolism and increasing the rate at which calories are burned. This is due to the effect of fat fighting compound epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). (6)

Berberine Root

Berberine is native to the lands of India and China and a firm favorite for traditional medicine in these countries for many years.

It has been shown to lower bad cholesterol levels in the blood, thus reducing the risk of developing heart disease. (7)

Berberine can also help boost the metabolism. It has this effect by stimulating a compound called ‘adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase’ (AMPK). (8,9)

AMPK is a type of enzyme that plays an important role in the management of our cell metabolism.

Because of this, berberine supports weight loss by preventing storage of more body fat and encouraging use of current fat stores. (10)

Fucoxanthin

Fucoxanthin is a type of pigment found in seaweeds which have a brown coloration.

It can help encourage weight loss and also has beneficial effects on the skin and digestive system. (11)

Furthermore, fucoxanthin can have a regulatory effect upon blood sugar levels. This serves to help control the appetite as well as helping to manage diabetes. (12)

Guarana

Guarana is a flowering plant which grows widely in South America.

The active extract is derived from the fruit seeds. It has been consumed by South American jungle tribes for thousands of years because of its stimulating effects.

Guarana is a very potent source of energy boosting caffeine, containing a higher concentration than of what’s found in coffee. (13)

Caffeine can help to elevate the metabolism and stimulate the body to burn fat. (14)

It can also serve to suppress the appetite, helping you to eat less throughout the day. (15)

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a sweet, warming spice often used in confectionary, drinks and desserts.

It has been recognised as containing the highest levels of protective antioxidants amongst popular herbs and spices. (16)

Cinnamon can help to lower the risk of heart disease and stroke by reducing both high blood pressure and bad cholesterol. (17)

Furthermore, cinnamon can lower levels of glucose in the blood and raise sensitivity to insulin. The way our body responds to this hormone is crucial for maintaining balanced blood sugar levels and preventing diabetes. (18)

Ginger Root

Ginger is a popular spice often used in Asian dishes which is also widely accepted for its medicinal properties.

This bulbous root is good for supporting digestion and relieving nausea. It also helps to regulate blood sugar and prolong satiety. (19,20)

Additionally, ginger has been found to defend the brain against ageing, protecting cognitive function from decline. It has even shown to have benefits for those suffering from alzheimer’s. (21,22)

Pea Protein

Pea protein is packed with amino acids which lay the foundations for muscle tissue. Consuming pea protein has been shown to help increase muscle mass and is a great alternative to whey protein. (23)

This plant based protein also helps to control your appetite by reducing levels of the hormone responsible for hunger, ‘ghrelin’.

As our stomach becomes empty, it releases ghrelin to send a message to the brain it’s time to eat more food. (24)

Pea protein slows down the emptying of the stomach and therefore delays the release of the hunger hormone. (25)

MCT’s

MCT’s stands for ‘medium chain triglycerides’. They are a type of fatty acid with a wide range of health boosting and weight loss properties.

There is evidence medium chain triglycerides can help to reduce blood cholesterol. (26)

MCT’s are effective for energy and weight loss. This is primarily because they are broken down and absorbed by the body much easier than other types of fat.

This means that they can be utilised for energy much faster and more efficiently, therefore are less likely to be stored as body fat. They also encourage weight loss and overall fat burning. (27,28)

Oat Bran

Oat bran is most widely known for its beneficial effects upon cholesterol. It has been proven to significantly reduce LDL or “bad’ cholesterol.

This is due to the way in which the contained fiber within oat bran locks onto cholesterol and carries it out of the body in our stools. (29)

Inulin

Inulin is an ‘oligosaccharide’, a type of indigestible dietary fiber.

Dietary fibers are beneficial for the health of our digestive tract and can help to naturally curb appetite.

Inulin is not broken down or absorbed at all, it just it passes through the gut. However, it does serve as a crucial food source for the bacteria that populate it. For this reason it is known as a ‘prebiotic’.

Prebiotics ferment in the lower portions of the gut and feed ‘probiotic’ intestinal flora, helping to keep them and therefore us, healthy. (30,31)

Inulin supports weight loss because it prevents hunger and diminishes cravings.

This is due to the way it absorbs any fluid it comes into contact with in the intestines, swelling and expanding into a much larger mass. This makes you feel like you have eaten far more than you actually have, thus helping to prolong the feeling of satisfaction after a meal. (32)

Side Effects

Modere M3 is unlikely to cause any serious side effects as the active ingredients are natural and mostly gentle in their effects.

However, there is a potential for feeling some unpleasant side effects if you are very sensitive to caffeine. This is due to the amount of caffeine present in green tea and guarana.

Some of the caffeine related side effects are headaches, anxiety, jitteriness, insomnia, rapid heart rate and body shakes.

Other possible side effects are indigestion, bloating, gas and stomach cramps. These should subside after you have adjusted to the changes.

Recommended Dosage

The recommended dosage is as follows:

Take three ‘burn’ morning thermogenics before breakfast.

Drink a ‘sustain’ protein shake mixed with cold water in the afternoon

Drink one scoop of ‘sync’ fiber formula mixed with cold water 20 minutes before main meal.

Summary

Modere M3 is a weight loss and healthy lifestyle plan allegedly based around a mediterranean diet.

The ingredients in the accompanying supplements and meal replacement are clinically proven to help weight loss, burn fat and suppress the appetite.

However, we are not sure whether these supplements are the biggest contributor to weight loss, or if it’s down to the required lifestyle changes followers are encouraged to make.

For three months users are told to avoid refined flour, sugary drinks, white rice and sugar, fried foods, drink lots of water and walk around 7500 steps a day, while following the plan.

In our opinion, this advice is not specific to Modere M3, in fact this is solid general advice for health and weight loss.

That said, either way you look at Modere M3, we still think it is a good strategy to help people to lose weight, particularly if they need structure and encouragement.
